Ada Wong is an Asian woman who worked as a spy for an organization originally rival to Umbrella.
There is little information about her past – it is not even possible to say if her name is really Ada.
With special training, Ada is defined as a great professional. She carries out her plans to the end in a cold and calculating way even in the most extreme situations. Her feelings are the only obstacle that can divert her from her paths and goals.

INFILTRATING THE UMBRELLA
BETWEEN 1994 AND 1998
Sometime between the years 1994 and 1998, Ada Wong infiltrated Umbrella to gather information about the T-Virus, which was still being developed around the Arklay Mountains. In 1994, John took over as lead researcher in place of William Birkin, who was transferred to the underground laboratory in Raccoon City.

He stayed in the position until he gone of infection during the Tvirus leak in June 1998. Ada maintained a fake romantic relationship with John, which created a lot of trust in the spy. During this time, Ada worked undercover obtaining information about Umbrella’s research while maintaining this fake relationship with a researcher.

In a letter written shortly before her gone, John asked Ada to retrieve all data about the research being conducted at the secret laboratory in Arklay and make that information public. It is unknown if Ada was in the lab during the T-Virus leak or if she simply managed to escape in time to not be infected.

JOINING ALBERT WESKER
BETWEEN JULY AND SEPTEMBER 1998
With the T-Virus leak, Albert Wesker plots his abandonment of Umbrella. Wesker intended to join another company, but in order to do so, he had to offer something in exchange for a position. At some point in this period, the researcher contacts Ada Wong and the two exchange information. He sends several data about his past in Umbrella (Wesker’s Report II) to the spy, who in return informs the villain about the production of the G-Virus in the underground laboratory, which shortly after is the scene of an incident with this very agent – shortly after the company tried to “take” William Birkin’s research. During her investigations, Ada discovers that Sherry Birkin, daughter of William and Annette Birkin, carried a sample of the G-Virus in a pendant. The spy goes after the girl amidst the chaos of Raccoon City to obtain this sample.

IN SEARCH FOR THE G-VIRUS SAMPLE
SEPTEMBER 29 AND 30, 1998
REVIL Wiki – Ada Wong – 01
In the search for Sherry Birkin’s pendant, Ada meets rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy in the Raccoon City Police Department parking lot. She tells Leon that she is looking for Ben Bertolucci, a reporter who would be held in one of the cells at the police station, and asks for help finding him.

Once in the cell, Ada tries to get information from the journalist about his findings involving the viral incident and about John, but Ben refuses to say what he knows and prefers to remain trapped in the cell, afraid of the monsters that prowl the police station. He, however, informs Ada and Leon that there is an exit from the city via the sewers and the two part ways on the spot.

The spy ends up bumping into Sherry in one of the underground galleries and finds the pendant, which the girl abandoned. Up until this point, however, Ada still didn’t know that this was the pendant with a sample of the G-Virus she had been looking for.

As they continue through a passageway through the store, they manage to reach the entrance to the sewers, where Ada guides him along the way and explains about her mission: to destroy the Umbrella Corporation, as this disaster is all the fault of the pharmaceutical company. She also says that she is looking for Annette Birkin, one of the scientists responsible for the development of the GVirus, the viral agent responsible for half of the monsters that are ravaging the city. In that time, the spy sees Leon fighting an infected Crocodile, but manages to successfully eliminate the creature, continuing through the sewers.

Shortly after, they find Annette and Ada threatens her, wanting the scientist to surrender with the GVirus. She refuses and on the run shoots Ada and Leon, but the policeman manages to protect Ada in time, launching himself in front of the spy and taking the shot for her. The agent helps the policeman, tending to his wound, but before Leon regains consciousness, she leaves in search of Annette.

Still in the sewers, she and Leon are reunited and are surprised by Annette. Dr. Birkin’s wife says she knows that spies are prowling the lab in search of the G-Virus and makes several shots towards Ada. One of the shots hits Leon, who throws himself in front of the spy to protect her.

The girl leaves the policeman injured and runs after Annette. When confronting her, the researcher realizes that Ada is wearing Sherry’s necklace and despairs. The two get into a fight and after a brief fight, Annette runs away and it is then that Ada realizes that the pendant holds a sample of the G-Virus.
